Pizza Man Cocaine Delivery From A Papa John's Delveryman: Man Arrested After Reportedly Selling $40,000 Worth Of Cocaine While Delivering Pizzas

A pizza man cocaine delivery leads to the arrest of a Papa John's deliveryman in New York City Wednesday.

The pizza man cocaine delivery had allegedly been going on for at least a year, according to authorities. They investigated Ramon Rodriguez for a year until they were able to set him up when Rodriguez went to deliver pizza and cocaine to an undercover police officer.

Rodriguez, 45, would be a pizza man cocaine delivery man for Papa John's, in which he reportedly sold $40,000 worth of the drugs, according to a report from CNN.

The New York City Police Department's narcotics bureau in Brooklyn investigation said that the Papa John's deliveryman would sometimes keep the cocaine underneath the pizza inside the boxes.

"On multiple occasions, Rodriguez told the undercover officers that he was interrupting pizza deliveries to conduct the drug transaction," according to prosecutors.

He allegedly sold to undercover police officers more than a dozen times since the investigation began in the fall of 2011, according to the Daily News. In his most recent sale, prosecutors said Rodriguez brought officers a pizza and an order of chicken nuggets with the kilo of cocaine.

Rodriguez has been charged with multiple counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to a statement released by the Special Narcotics Prosecutor in New York.

NBC New York reported that officers found an additional $4,500 dollars and drug paraphernalia in Rodriguez's apartment and more drugs in his car after his arrest.

The manager of the Papa John's store, Mohammed Ali, told reporters, "He (Rodriguez) used to hit us for money for food and gas. We were always giving him $20 to $30 at a time."
