Ken Griffey Jr. daughter will play college basketball at the University of Arizona.

One of the top recruits in the country, Ken Griffey Jr. daughter, Taryn, decided to join her brother Trey, who plays wide receiver at the university, according to Yahoo.

A possible future MLB Hall-of-Famer, Ken Griffey played baseball along with his father for the Seattle Mariners. Now, Ken Griffey Jr. daughter will keep this somewhat family tradition going as she joins her brother at the University of Arizona.

 "My brother being out there had some influence on it, but I really like the coach and I really like the atmosphere out there," Taryn Griffey told Central Florida News 13.

University of Arizona finished the 2012-13 season with a record of 12-18, which included 13 losses in the team's final 14 games.

"My family was pretty shocked. I hadn't said anything because I didn't really know what I was thinking," Taryn Griffey told the news station. "My brother is here and my dad and him were high fiving.

Taryn Griffey had to sit out her junior year because of a torn ACL. Prior to that, Griffey was named the Florida High School Athletic Association's Class 8A player of the year, leading her Orlando (Fl.) Dr. Phillips High squad to a second straight state title, according to Yahoo.
