JYP Cancels March 3-5 Shows of 2PM' '6 Nights' Concert After Jun.K's Injury; Fans Disappointed But Understanding

JYP Entertainment has announced that 2PM will be cancelling its shows from March 3-5 in the wake of an accident that led to Jun.K's injury in a recent performance. Mechanics on the refunds are yet to be announced by the company but they have assured that they will be keeping fans posted about the developments.

JYP also took the opportunity to update the fans about Jun.K's health through the statement. According to them, Jun.K thas received surgery to set the bones in his elbow and is currently advised to rest by his doctors, SBS Pop Asia reported.

"Though Jun.K has continuously expressed a strong desire to stand on stage again to keep his promise with his fans, we believe what is best for him is to rest and have a speedy recovery," JYP said. They apologized for disappointing the fans but added that they reached the decision because they wanted Jun.K to fully recover from his injury before he takes to the stage again.

Fans seem to be quite understanding about the matter and actually backed JYP's decision to cancel the schedules instead of pushing through with Jun.K still on the mend. While many expressed disappointment over the setback in the highly anticipated "6 Nights" concert series, their concern over the 2PM member's welfare seemed to take precedence over anything.

Meanwhile, JYP has warned fans against fanning the flames of rumors circulating on the internet claiming that the organizers of the concert were remiss in ensuring the safety of the performers. The label said that netizens must be conscious about spreading information that is unverified as this would only cause damage to feelings of Jun.K's family and reputation of the label and its artists, All Kpop reported.

The cancellation of the remaining nights of the "6 Nights" concert comes as a major blow for fans because this will be the last time they see 2PM members complete and together in a long while because its members are set to enlist in the military. The concert was supposed to be the boys' gift to their fans who will miss them for at least two years. For more on Kpop and Kpop idols, make sure to check out Kpopstarz.
