Song Hye, the popular actress of "Descendants of the Sun" has just visited Japan in hopes of spreading knowledge on the truth behind Korean history. This is also in support of the Korean Independence Movement program.
What Song did there was that she distributed numerous pamphlets that had the title" Meeting our History Overseas - Tokyo". These pamphlets are reported to have a historic timeline on the historical influences of Korea in Japan.
According to All K-pop, Song says that she wanted to make Korean history interesting. One way of doing just that is by spreading it to the world. This was a very good and effective way to present a detailed and more interesting way to look at history, as the pamphlets were available in two languages, Korean and Japanese.
March 1 is also celebrated as Movement Day in South Korea. This is a day which remembers the revolt of fellow Korean against the Japanese colonies. Though the real historical happening is quite ironic, as she is in Japan, she still continues to do it as a sign of respect and partnership. After all, she believes that all of us should work together and learn from the experiences.
Koreans fought for independence during these times. With this, Song Hye is the perfect person for the role, after she had successfully done the "Descendants of the Sun" previously.
According to another report by All K-pop, she had also succeeded with her previous TV projects such as "Autumn in My Heart", "Full House" and "That Winter and the Wind Blows".
Throughout the years, Koreans and Japanese should understand their history as it is their identity. With all of these being said, she sure knows how to make a mark not only in her country's entertainment industry, but in the historical and political identity of her people as well.
