Caffeine Toothbrush doesn't sound possible, but not any longer as Colgate-Palmolive has filed for a patent on the toothbrush-infused toothbrush that will rocket to into the start of your day.

The caffeine toothbrush will act like a nicotine patch, but instead of nicotine, the caffeine toothbrush will deliver your morning caffeine before you even leave the house for work. Ingenious!

But that's not all. Yahoo is reporting the caffeine toothbrush may also feature a patch that can deliver drugs like Advil or Tylenol as you brush. So not only does the caffeine toothbrush give you the needed energy jolt in the morning, but it might help alleviate those aches and pains too. 

The patch technology patent in the caffeine toothbrush, which Colgate is hoping to be approved as soon as possible, may also feature a delivery method for herbal remedies or even a particular flavor you prefer over whatever toothpaste offerings are out there. 

The patent application for the caffeine toothbrush describes a "The present invention pertains to an oral care implement generally, and more particularly to a toothbrush that releases a chemical into the mouth during use."

Other uses for the caffeine toothbrush are chemicals for weight loss or the aforementioned drug-delivery system that will not only have you fully alert before your morning cup of coffee, but will help alleviate any bothersome maladies before you have to start your day. 

Despite the patent application filed in October last year, and made public in February, the caffeine toothbrush may, according to the patent release, also feature a chile pepper flavor:

"As one example, a chemical known as capsaicin, found naturally in chile peppers, can be used to provide a tingle, a hot or warm massage, or a heating or warm, soothing sensation to a user, " it reads.

"Capsaicin is also known to provide pain relief and numbing sensations when topically applied," which BOOM, now you're really awake and any mouth sores or aches are also gone.

The caffeine toothbrush means you're ready to go about your day without the traditional lag time it takes when you don't have your trusty caffeine toothbrush to get you up in the morning.
