Song Hye Kyo had a year-long break after portraying Dr. Kang Mo-Yeon in "Descendants of the Sun" in 2016. Fans of the Korean actress are eventually asking when she will star in a new drama again.
Now it seems like the long wait is over. Song Hye Kyo is reportedly part of the upcoming romantic drama "Ships Passing in the Night." What will be her role in the series, then?
According to IMDB, Song Hye Kyo will play Hana. Her role was not discussed yet. Meanwhile, the storyline was already listed on the said database.
She will be joining Esther Nam, who will play Grace Sol and Dae Na who will play Brad Bang. A certain Dean was also listed on the credited cast.
Based on the storyline, "Ships Passing in the Night" will follow Brad, a top supermodel who has a troubled relationship with fragile actress Grace. However, they will realize that they were not meant to be together despite desperately needing each other. The drama will be a story of two people in a forbidden love.
"The Romance Artist" helmer Ricky Lee will co-produce, edit, and do the cinematography of the drama. It was written by writer and director Sunwoo Park. Bev Sheehan is the casting director along with Robby Hurd.
Bev Sheehan is known for her participations in the 1956 American soap opera "As the World Turns" and the 2013 "Grand Theft Auto V," Yahoo! News noted.
In other news, rumor has it that Song Hye Kyo will have another drama with none other than Lee Min-Ho and her former DoTS co-star Song Joong Ki. As KPopstarz previously reported, the trio will be part of the "City Hunter 2." Their respective agencies did not confirm this circulating rumor so fans should take it with a grain of salt.
