EXO’s “EXO PLANET #3 - The EXO'rDIUM Peaks Three Weekly Japanese Oricon Charts

EXO reportedly hit number one in three weekly Oricon charts recently in Japan. The K-pop boy group is accordingly topping with their latest release "EXO PLANET #3 - The EXO'rDIUM." The boys launched their album in both DVD and Blu-Ray form in Mar. 8.

The DVD ranked on top in both the DVD and Blu-Ray charts. According to the post of Soompi, EXO also ranked number one on the music clip chart. This is, accordingly the combination of both DVD and Blu-Ray sales that placed them on top in three different Oricon weekly charts.

In the first week of its launching, purportedly the DVD topped the Oricon DVD Music Chart, the BD Music Chart, and the combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc sales charts. The DVD reportedly covers EXO's concerts in Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Hokkaido, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Osaka from Sept. to Dec. 2016. The group is currently scheduled to hold the Malaysia leg of their "EXO PLANET #3 - The EXO'rDIUM" in Kuala Lumpur in Mar. 28.

Reportedly, this is the third time that EXO have topped the Oricon charts with their Japanese concert DVDs. This includes the 2015's "EXO PLANET #1 - THE LOST PLANET IN JAPAN" and 2016's "EXO PLANET #2 The EXO'luXion IN JAPAN." According to Koogle, "EXO PLANET #3 - The EXO'rDIUM" is the third tour of the South Korean-Chinese boy band.

The tour was officially announced in June 2016 and began in Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Arena in July 2016. Accordingly, EXO's first six engagements were in South Korea, making EXO the first K-pop group to have the longest solo concert series in Seoul. In Feb. 2017, it was reportedly officially announced that EXO's promotions will continue in Mexico and the United States, making the EXO'rDIUm tour as EXO's second World Tour. They have been named the biggest boyband in the world by media channels.
