How K-Pop Idols Affect The Lives Of Their Fans

K-pop is indeed taking the world by storm, even after the many years of its considered prime. One example of this fact is the usually scenario that happens around the JYP Entertainment headquarter, one of biggest entertainment agencies in South Korea.

Almost every day, flocks of fans gather around the donut shop that is near the main JYP building. There, they eagerly wait for their K-pop idols to show up. It sometimes even takes them the entire day and night just to see a glimpse of their idols, sometimes not anymore considering their health.

When a group of well-dress men went out from the building, the fans would then hurriedly go near them, only to disappoint themselves as their idols hurriedly rode their van and drove away. But still, it was not enough to make them stop from waiting.

According to Inquirer, one of the avid K-pop fans named Kim says that she had already spent more than 1 million won for the tickets that she bought for his group idol's six concert tour. 1 million won is a big amount of money; especially that she is still relying on her allowance that she gets from her parents.

There are even K-pop fans that have gone over the boundaries of ethics and promptness as some would even break into the houses of their idols. There are also those that get things from their idols so that it may serve as souvenir.

JYJ, a K-pop boy band confirms these rumors as they also narrate their own horrific experience with these kinds of fans. The group said that in one instance, one of their fans who were riding a taxi intentionally bumped their car in hopes of seeing them.

With all of these being said, K-pop indeed has a very big effect on the lives of their fans. Sometimes, it even goes beyond logic and practicality, just like how they would spend loads of money for concerts, and how they would go to great lengths just to see their K-pop idols.
