TWICE Gear Up For Japan Debut: Schedules Revealed

TWICE has been really successful as a girl group in Korea. Getting hit for their mini albums and recently won ninth times for their current song "Knock Knock," they gear up for their debut in Japan.

Previously, the group has already planned to debut in Japan after their activities finish in Korea. It was reported that TWICE would probably add their promotion with "Knock Knock" due to many requests from TV stations. But finally, JYP Entertainment decided to end the promotion as scheduled, reported AllKpop. Netizens then speculated that the company would probably start their preparation to promote TWICE in Japan.

Finally after waiting for some time, fans can hear the news about their debut in Japan. The group would have their debut showcase on Jul. 2 at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, reported Soompi. On their Japanese homepage, TWICE also revealed that it would be their first solo concert and also the chance to establish official ONCE Japan. The group would release best-of album in Japan consisting of their hit songs like "Cheer Up" and "TT" on Jun. 28.

It is a fast move by the agency to debut the girls in Japan only after 2 years of their debut in Korea. But people are so positive about it because the girls have been hitting the music industry in Korea really well. They won Best New Female Artist in 2015 from MAMA. Then their song "Cheer Up" won Song of the Year from Melon Music Awards. Their current song "Knock Knock" has broken their own records in views and album selling. The total awards got by TWICE were 22 with many wins in music shows.

Having great achievements, the girls are ready for their debut in Japan. Also, three members of TWICE are from Japan. They are Mina, Sana and Momo. The girls plan to have Japan version of their hit songs and it will be a new challenge for the group.
