Manti Te'o Maxim Joke Continued With Te'o Himself Getting In On The Joke: The Former Notre Dame Linebacker Attends A Party For The Maxim 100 Hot List

Manti Te'o Maxim joke continued when the now San Diego Chargers linebacker attended the Maxim Hot 100 party in Hollywood this week in honor of his fake-girlfriend who made the list.

This Manti Te'o Maxim joke was an opportunity for the former Notre Dame star to show that he's taking the joke in his stride now. The Manti Te'o Maxim joke first received a lot of attention across the internet because his fake-girlfriend landed at number 69 on the hot 100 list that Maxim puts out every year in a special issue.

In the picture, the fake-girlfriend is invisible, but rocking out in a bikini.

When Te'o showed up, it caught Maxim's editor-in-chief off guard, but Dan Bova liked it.

"It seems like he has a good sense of humor about the whole thing which i think is the best way to handle a situation like that," Bova told the Postgame.com. He also said he was "pleasantly surprised" that Te'o showed up.

Bova added when he thanked Te'o for coming out, the linebacker grinned and said "Are you kidding me? This is great."

While playing his senior season at Notre Dame, competing for the Heisman Trophy for the best player in the NCAA, the Fighting Irish were also on their way to the BCS title game.

Lennay Kekua, who was often cited by Te'o in interviews, but later revealed to be a hoax in a "catfish" scheme that possibly plummeted the draft-stock for Te'o who was picked early in the second-round of the NFL draft in April.

During the college football season, Te'o used Kekua, who he found out died in a car accident as motivation for his season.
