Sandara Park's first Korean major Korean movie, "One Step," just held its VVIP premiere and like the event's name, all the VVIPs showed up to support Sandara and the cast. Of course, Sandara's 2NE1 sisters Park Bom and CL were at the first screening.
According to a report by All Kpop, Park Bom and Sandara had some fun with filters behind the scenes of the formal event as Bom posted the a snap of their selfie. She captioned the post 'I went to the premiere of Dara's One Step." It was reported that Bom did not walk the red carpet like the other celebrity guests but watched the premiere and met up with Dara at the event.
CL also used her Instagram to congratulate her good friend using her cute nickname. "Congratulationz on your movie debut dara rabbit" she posted.
Minzy was not present at the event leading to speculations that relations with the other 2NE1 member is strained. Sandara, in an interview with Naver dispelled the rumors and said that even though 2NE1 disbanded last year, their relationship remains the same.
Also among those who attended the event to support "One Step" was singer Ailee, who is a self-confessed Blackjack, Sean, Eric Nam, Shinee's Minho, Crazy's Heeyun, Sandara'a brother Thunder and actors Jeong Dong Ha, Lee Jung Hyun, Min Ji Young and Zhang Ga Yan.
One celebrity that netizens were curious to see seemed like a no-show. BIG BANG leader G-dragon, who has from time to time been linked romantically to Sandara, was not part of a long line of celebrities that came to support the K-pop idol who is making her first foray into film acting.
Some netizens speculated that G-Dragon may have skipped the red carpet but still supported Sandara in a different way. Throughout the years, the two artists have constantly been spotted in each other's events like concerts, exhibits and even business ventures to cheer each other on.
It was speculated by fans that Sandara and G-Dragon, known to shippers as Daragon or Nongdal, saw each other at designer Bajowoo's exhibit when CL posted a selfie of herself with GD. Speculations were further strengthened when several photos showed CL and Sandara at the event together, Kpopstarz reported.
Shippers believe that Sandara and G-Dragon indeed met each other at the event but were careful not to get their photos taken together lest it lead to further speculation of a relationship between them. Both have continuously denied any romantic ties but maintain that they share a very deep friendship for a very long time. Shippers keep the hope alive that the powerful chemistry witnessed between the two would eventually lead them to dating each other.
