Im Joo-eun To Appear In Weekend Drama 'Thief-nom, Thief-nim' As Chaebol Heiress

Actress Im Joo-eun (Uncontrollably Fond) completes the main foursome of MBC's new weekend drama "Thief-nom, Thief-nim." Several updates have revealed that the actress has accepted the offer to star in the new drama. The other three confirmed main leads actors of "Thief-nom, Thief-nim" is SNSD's Seohyun who also starred in "Ruby Ruby Love," Ji Hyun-woo, who appeared in "Wanted," and Kim Ji-hoon the actor of "The Man Living in Our House."

Im Joo-eun will appear in "Thief-nom, Thief-nim," which is primarily about the corrupt and powerful forces that control all of Korea. The storyline of the new drama is majorly about how a band of thieves thwart the oppressive establishment, and deliver a refreshing kick to the corrupt system, as reported by Dramabeans. In "Thief-nom, Thief-nim," Im Joo-eun will appear as the daughter of a chaebol.

She will portray the role of a lawyer at a prestigious law firm born to a well-to-do family. It is reported that Im Joo-eun, being an attractive and intelligent heiress, would, during the course of 'Thief-nom, Thief-nim" become the object of affection for the two male leads, Ji Hyun-woo and Kim Ji-hoon. Many fans believe that the current role will not be a problem for the actress since she had portrayed the role several times in movies such as "Sageuk Empress Ki" and "Uncontrollably Fond."

However, in the aforementioned dramas, she wasn't lovable. She was mean and also the second lead, suggesting that fans might see a different side of the actress in the upcoming drama. Seohyun was the first to accept the offer to star in "Thief-nom, Thief-nim" and this will be her first lead role in a major broadcast drama. She will play the role of a police investigator, who fights for the weak with great determination and loyalty.

It is reported that Seohyun'sher character possesses a warm and kind personality. According to Kdramakisses, Ji Hyun-woo, who recently accepted the offer to star in "Thief-nom, Thief-nim" will portray the role of a character named Jang Dol-mok, who runs an errand center during the day, but he turns into a thief at night. Ji Hyun-woo's character steals from the rich and gives to the poor.

Meanwhile, Kim Ji-hoon, who has recorded great success for his roles in "Jang Bori Is Here" and "Goddess of Marriage," will portray the role of an elite special task force prosecutor who withdrew from his bootstraps only to rise to that position in "Thief-nom, Thief-nim." His character strictly follows the rules and regulations, and cannot be corrupted by threats or bribery.

The 50-episode weekend drama, "Thief-nom, Thief-nim" will be headed by PD Oh Kyung-hoon (Mom, Phoenix, and Love Letter) and penned by Sohn Young-mok who also wrote "May Queen," and "Gold Rainbow.' MBC's "Thief-nom, Thief-nim" will premiere in May.
