How A Big Joke Turned Into A Successful K-Pop Boy Group

The new K-pop boy group, Boys Generally Asian, which is also known as simply BGA, is created by a famous YouTuber named, Ryan Higa. It comprises of five members, and unexpectedly rose up to the top charts.

Just recently, new boy group has just released their second song enetitled, "Who's It Gonna Be". And surprisingly and without them expecting it, it swiftly climbed up the ladder of the K-pop ratings.

What's really surprising about it is that a song that is sung by a new K-pop group, has outranked even some of the hit songs by renowned K-pop boy groups such as GOT7, Monsta X and BTS. Their latest song was released last March 24, and is met with widespread fame.

And even though BGA is just a boy group parody and that it only copies that style and theme of different K-pop boy groups, it still managed to win the heart of a lot of try K-pop fans. And what is most surprising about it is that their success and popularity is not only confined in South Korea, but in the U.S. as well.

According to Next Shark, the group's latest song, "Who's It Gonna Be", even reached the number three spot in music charts, a big feat for a newbie boy group that was formed out of mere parody and copying.

One of the things that make BGA a legit boy group imitator is that it also imitates even how their members get their fandom names, get their signature colors, and have its own solo members.

Teaser photos and videos were even done by BGA themselves, just like how the big management companies of popular and established groups' upcoming solos and albums do. With all of these being said, BGA or Boys Generally Asian surely still has a long way to go. Hopefully, they continue to find their true identity and develop their signature music theme as they progress in the K-pop industry.
