Gospel Singer Sues McDonalds For Ruining Voice

A gospel singer from Brooklyn has sued McDonalds after she claims they ruined her voice. The singer, Jacqueline Simpson, 52, alleges McDonalds ruined her voice after she bit into a chicken sandwich with a piece of glass in it.

Jacqueline Simpson says she bit into a piece of piece of glass that was bigger than a penny while she was eating a chicken sandwich at a McDonald's in lower Manhattan. She says the glass ruined her voice.

Simpson filed suit in a Brooklyn Supreme Court, saying "Now when I sing, I have a hoarse, rattly voice...I still sing alto, but I can't sing soprano like I used to."

Simson allegedly bit into the glass at McDonald's near the World Trade Center on Broadway in May 2010.

"I have to make a lot of calls for work, and I have to tell people that I'm not a man,'' said Simpson, who works as a clerk for the state Attorney General's Office. "Before, that never happened."
