Not a stranger to the Korean drama scenes, actor Ji Chang Wook recently stormed into the cinema with his first ever leading role in the film, Fabricated City, which has takenover the charts and cemented Ji's name as a prominent actor. He visited Malaysia last week to not only promote Fabricated City, which will be shown in GSC cinemas starting 20th April 2017, but to also promote the newly launched TVN Movies channel, the world's first and only Korean blockbuster movie channel, which is available on HyppTV and also HyppTV Everywhere mobile app.

Speaking to the media in a press conference held on 8th April 2017 in The Westin, Kuala Lumpur, the 30 year old actor shared his experience and challenges in filming Fabricated City and also his future projects.

Directed by Park Kwang-Hyun, Fabricated City is an action movie where Ji Chang Wook played the role of Kwon Yoo, a gamer who was wrongly accused as a serial killer and in order to uncover the truth and clear out his name, he has to navigate through fabricated problems. Ji said that eventhough he is not similar at all to Kwon Yoo who would fight for something that is unfair to him, he just brought himself out as how he would react to this situation.

Talking about his own experience filming the movie, he mentioned that he would remember the hard and difficult part, especially the prison scene. "Because in my mind, prison is a very scary place, so there's no reality in the movie but we just showed it as avery scary place." He further stated that he was tired and scared during the whole scene.

Filming an action movie requires a lot of mental and physical strength and also precision. One wrong move and there would have been accidents on the set. Ji revealed that there were no major injury that happened during the filming but to prevent it from happening, they rehearsed the scenes many times.

Besides from talking about Fabricated City, Ji also talked about his future project, a mystery romantic comedy drama titled Suspicious Partner which he will be acting in alongside Nam Ji Hyun and Choi Tae Joon. Since he has never acted in a romantic comedy before, he said that he's really looking forward to it, especially since it's physically tiring and challenging to always act in action dramas and he would like to tryout different roles.

Since it's compulsory for Korean men to enlist in the military, Ji's name is also on the list of actors who will be enlisting soon. Talking about his plan before enlisting, he said that he would focus on filming the drama and if there is time later, he would like to do some travelling.

Before wrapping up the press conference, the actor expressed that he's thankful for all the support and love given to him. The event ended with a photo session with lucky fans.
