After being offered the lead role in OCN's thriller "Save Me," 2PM's Taecyeon has finally been confirmed to accept the part. "Hwarang" actress Seo Ye Ji has also been confirmed to take on the female lead role of the drama.

According to a report by Soompi, "Save Me" will be the live action adaptation of the webtoon entitled "Out of This World" which revolves around four unemployed men who respond to a woman's call for help. The report said that the film will delve into the theme of religious cults and also incorporating a contemporary approach to the drama by using young actors.

Based on the synopsis for "Save Me", Taecyeon will play the part of Han Sang Hwan, a young man pressured by his role as the governor's son. Seo Ye Ji will play a down on her luck woman Im Sang Mi who is forced to rely on the leader of a religious cult to save her father. The drama will revolve around how the two characters, with the aid of other friends, will get Sang Mi out of the clutches of the cult.

Actor Woo Do Hwan was also cast as one of the friends who will help Taecyeon and Sang Mi, while Jo Sung Ha will play the role of evil cult leader Baek Jung Ki, who has the whole town in his control because of the blind faith of his followers. A report by Drama Kisses also confirmed that David Lee was also confirmed as one of Taecyeon's allies in the series.

David Lee's casting in "Save Me" will serve as his reunion with Taecyeon whom he worked with in "Let's Fight, Ghost." It can be recalled that the pair showed great rapport as they portrayed reluctant friends who ended up working together on exorcisms in the fantasy drama.
