The New York City mayor, Mike Bloomberg, has involved himself in the fashion line of Khloe Kardashian and husband, Lamar Odom. He's asked them to stop selling a t-shirt from their fashion line because it features the New York City logo.

The Khloe Kardashion Mayor Bloomberg beef came about when the mayor discovered (not sure if he was perusing sites to find a gif for his daughter or what) a T-Shirt from the Kardashian and Lamar Odom, clothing line, Rich Soil. Here is the offending t-shirt, courtesy of Rich Soil, which is getting more free publicity for the Kardashian clothing line than anything Keeping Up With the Kardashians could have hoped to produce.

And here is the Price of NYC emblem Mayor Bloomberg believes the offending t-shirt bears too close a resemblence too:

As you can see, the Rich Soil t-shirt features the words "Rich Soil" and "New York" around a picture of the Statue of Liberty. The outline of the French's gift to America of Lady Liberty, the Statue of Libert,y does appear to be a long lost cousin of the "Pride of New York" logo featured on the Department of Agriculture's welcoming page.

But does it behoove the mayor, who is finishing out his record third term as New York City's mayor, to actually seek an injunction about the selling of this, relatively speaking, harmless t-shirt?

A Department of Agriculture lawyer warned that if Khloe Kardashion and her husband, NBA player Lamar Odom, don't comply with Mayor Bloomberg's call to stop selling the $35 t-shirt, they could face penalities and will most likely be sued by New York State.
