On this week's "Sister's Slam Dunk Season 2" episode, the members were required to try on various stage outfits. Somi then revealed a shocking fact regarding I.O.I's "Very Very Very" stage costumes.
The stylists on the show stated that the outfits Somi and the others tried were costumes that were once worn by idols performing on stage. Member Han Chae Young presented Kim Sook a crop top shirt and commented that it looked something a child would wear.
Somi then revealed that during her I.O.I days, she did wear children's clothes for their "Very Very Very" stage outfits. According to Koreaboo, Somi added that the rest of I.O.I actually wore children-sized clothes that were specifically made for each member.
I.O.I was formed in 2016 under CJ E&M Entertainment via Mnet's reality show "Produce 101". However, Somi and I.O.I's existence were short-lived.
Somi and the group debuted in May of 2016 with the release of their mini-album titled "Chrysalis". I.O.I promoted as a group for under a year until their concert in January 2017.
Their concert was titled "Time Slip - I.O.I" and ran for 2 nights. This was the last time Somi and I.O.I were together as a group and disbanded at the end of the same month. Since then, the members have returned to their respective agencies.
In other news, the American cable channel "Fuse" has included Somi in their "Biggest Teen Musicians of 2017". NCT Dream was also included in the 19 teen musicians list by Fuse landing the 15th spot.
According to Hello Kpop, Somi emerged in the 18th spot of Fuse's list. This is because of her unwavering resilience as she has experienced failure in success.
Somi first took part in the 2015girl group survival show "Sixteen". If she was not eliminated in the show's final round, Somi would have been a member of TWICE by now.
Somi then participated in Produce 101 and was successful as she debuted with I.O.I. After the group disbanded, Somi has been continually appearing in variety shows and even collaborated recently with Eric Nam for "You, Who?"
