BTS Beat One Direction's Record on Billboard Music Charts

BTS has gained much popularity with their oozing charms and cool songs. Aiming high for Billboard Music Awards, recently the boys just surpassed One Direction record on the Billboard top 50.

Previously, BTS got nominated as Top Social Media Artist for their global popularity with their album "WINGS," Soompi reported. Since then, the boys and the CEO of the company have asked support from ARMYs around the world so that BTS can take the trophy.

BTS' popularity has proved by taking position in Billboard top 50. Recently, the boys have got their 22 weeks on the Billboard top 50 charts, SBS Pop Asia reported. They surpassed One Direction's record with their 8 weeks in the charts. As a boy group from Korea, the boys have really strong fans base.

In order to get the trophy, they must beat other artists. The boys are still behind Taylor Swift with topping the charts for 28 weeks and Justin Bieber with 161 weeks. Even though they are still behind those two top singers, the boys already surpassed Rihanna and Miley Cyrus' records.

There are 5 artists nominated for the Top Social Media Artist by Billboard. Along with BTS, they are Justin Bieber, Selena Gomes, Shan Mendez, and Ariana Grande, Billboard reported. BTS is the only boy group getting the nomination. It might seem hard to beat Justin Bieber's record and other artist' but the boys are already happy even only getting the nomination.

Meanwhile, BTS thank fans to always give their full support for them. ARMYs are sure having their best efforts to support the boys as they have reached another level in their career. With the upcoming award event that they have to attend, the boys are getting prepared.

Recently, they just held their concert in Indonesia and it was a big success. The boys still have packed of schedules as popular boy group. Many ARMYs hope that the boys can get enough rest and they can perform well at Billboard Music Awards.
