Celtics' Player Arrested on Gun Charges

Celtics’ player arrested on gun charges Sunday. Boston Celtics forward Terence Williams was arrested on Sunday after he was accused of brandishing a gun at the mother of his 10-year-old son.

According to published reports the Celtics player was arrested on Sunday afternoon at about 2 p.m. in Kent, Wash., after he allegedly made threats to the mother of his son while holding a gun. The incident occurred in a downtown Kent, Wash., parking lot. The woman was keeping a scheduled visitation exchange with their 10-year-old son. The pair started to argue and Boston Celtics player Terrence Williams pulled out a gun and started to make threats. Police located and arrested Williams, who is 25, at another location without incident. The Kent police are labeling it as a domestic violence case. The incident is under investigation.

Boston Celtics forward Terrence Williams has played four years in NBA after attending Louisville. The six-foot-six inch guard and forward played at Louisville from 2005 to 2009. He was the 11th overall pick in the 2009 Season NBA draft. Terrence Williams started his pro career with the New Jersey Nets. He then played a few seasons with the Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings. Williams played part of this past season in China. In February, the forward signed a 10-day contract with the Celtics. He did well with the Celtics and the franchise signed him on for the remainder of the season. He is also signed for the next season. If he isn’t waived before Oct. 31, Williams’ contract is scheduled to pay him a guaranteed $947,907. Williams averaged 4.6 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.8 rebounds in 24 games for the Celtics this season.
