Kevin Durant is not only great inside the basketball court; he is also one amazingly generous man.

The star player of Oklahoma City Thunder, Kevin Durand, donated $1 Million to the Red Cross for Oklahoma Tornado relief.

The massive tornado that flattened neighborhoods and schools and killed Oklahoma residents and children was truly devastating. But in the midst of all this havoc and tragedy, there are people who generously go extend their hands and display the compassion and kindness of humanity.

One of these is a basketball superstar, Kevin Durant, who shared a million dollars for the Oklahoma Tornado Relief.

Durant had made a munificent donation of $1 Million for the Oklahoma Tornado Disaster Relief through Red Cross, according to Royce Young from CBS Sports via his twitter post as @dailythunder.

Kevin Durant roughly earned 17.5M USD playing for Oklahoma Thunder during the past season, and the million US dollars he gave away for the Oklahoma tornado relief is a huge amount, accounting for more than 5 percent of his principle wage as professional player.

Hours after Kevin Durant donated $1 Million for the Oklahoma Tornado Relief, his team matched his donation, pledging a million dollars to the victims of this devastating calamity. OKC Thunder, using their official Twitter handle, @okcthunder, posted a tweet to confirm saying, "News: Thunder to donate $1 Million to to Oklahoma tornado relief, to @Salvationarmyok, @redcrossokc other relief groups. #OklahomaStrong."

Twitter has also been the online board of thoughts for other celebrities who wanted to give back and send love and condolences to the victims of the Oklahoma tornado.

For one, Ellen DeGeneres tweeted,  "I just want to send my love to anyone who lives in the path of these storms. First Texas, now Oklahoma. You're all in our thoughts.."
