BIGBANG's G-Dragon just dropped his first teaser for his upcoming album "Kwon Ji Yong". The album is expected to hit the shelves in 2 weeks.
As reported by All Kpop, G-Dragon dropped the first teaser for his upcoming solo album. The teaser was released to the public today, May 31.
The album, titled "Kwon Ji Yong" after his real name, is expected to be released in 2 weeks. G-Dragon's agency, YG Entertainment, has also confirmed the fact that the BIGBANG member will be releasing his album on Thursday, June 8.
"Kwon Ji Yong" will be G-Dragon's 3rd album to date. His first album was released in August of 2009, titled "Heartbreaker".
G-Dragon's "Heartbreaker" album was a huge hit in Korea, ranking No. 1 in the country. The album sold over 300,000 physical copies.
All of the tracks' lyrics of "Heartbreaker" were written by G-Dragon himself, proving his musical genius. The BIGBANG member collaborated with 2NE1's Dara and CL for the track "Hello" and "The Leaders", respectively.
G-Dragon's 2nd album was titled "Coup d'Etat" which was released in 2013. The digital copies of the album were released in 2 parts, with the first part released on Sept. 2 and the second part on Sept. 5, 2013. The full album was released on Sept. 13, 2013.
Also, a Japanese version of "Coup d'Etat" was also released for his Japanese fans. It sold over 130,000 physical copies.
G-Dragon also released an extended play titled "One of a Kind" in September of 2012. The EP ranked No. 1 in Korea and in the Billboard World Albums Chart with over 260,000 copies sold in Korea alone.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon is set to start his world tour titled "ACT III, M.O.T.T.E". As previously reported by KpopStarz, G-Dragon will be visiting 19 cities in the US and Asia.
G-Dragon is expected to kick-off his "ACT III, M.O.T.T.E" tour on Saturday, June 10 in Seoul. The tour will be wrapping up on Sept. 19 in Tokyo, Japan.
