After being bombarded with negative comments about her behavior at the recently concluded EXO concert at the Jamsil Stadium, Lee Chaeyeon has apologized to netizens through a post on social media. EXO fans called EXO-Ls were reportedly turned off by the singer's lack of respect for the stadium rules during the concert.
According to a report by Soompi , Lee Chaeyeon extended her apologies through her Instagram account mainly for eating at the venue which was prohibited under the rules and for leaving the concert early. She explained that she was only supposed to stay until the first encore song.
It can be recalled that EXO's Chanyeol, being on the same bowling team as Chaeyeon gave the entire team prime tickets to the EXO concert so that they could watch the performance. However, according to many fans at the venue, the team blatantly disregarded the rules of not eating and drinking at the venue and even interrupted EXO's performance as they were about to leave.
Some of the fans who commented on the article on All Kpop claimed that more than eating and drinking at the venue, Chaeyeon and company were allegedly drinking alcohol at the event when the rules clearly stated that only bottled water and juice were allowed. They were especially irked that Chaeyeon and her friends did not clean up after themselves when EXO-Ls agreed that they will not leave a mess at the venue.
However, what irked the fans the most was that Chaeyeon allegedly interrupted EXO as they were performing a ballad so that she could say goodbye to them. Fans were unimpressed by her behavior seeing as she is also a singer who should be more considerate of her fellow artists' performance. They expressed frustration that some reports did not release the complete details of the incident, putting EXO-Ls in a bad light by making them seem to overact.
Some of the fans, however, appreciated the singer's effort to apologize for her actions. They said that this should serve as a lesson for Chaeyeon to be more respectful and considerate towards EXO and EXO-Ls who worked hard to get tickets to see their idols perform live.
