'Produce 101' Season Two Asks Suggestions For The Name Of The Upcoming Boy Group

"Produce 101" season one has named their girl group with IOI with the great meaning of Ideal of Idols. For this second season, the show wants to ask suggestions from netizens about the name of the upcoming boy group.

"Produce 101" season two just conducted the second round of elimination and there were 24 trainees went back home. Right now, the remaining trainees who survive from elimination are 35 and they will compete to become the top 11, Soompi reported.

For the next battle, there will be concept battle where the contestant will be judged whether they suit the concept or not. The winning group for the concept battle will receive additional votings and it will be given to each member. But the distribution is not the same and the member in the first place of the group will receive more votes than other members of the team.

The show asked to be given suggestions on the name of the upcoming boy group through their official homepage on May 26. Netizens directly sent their suggestions and among the names, they are I.M.I which means It's Me (Pick Me), B.O.I which means (Best of Idols), N.pick (National Pick), and much more, AllKpop reported.

The last submission of the suggestions will be on Jun. 16 and the name will belong to CJ&M when the name is chosen. The top 11 trainees later will debut in a permanent boy group and they will have a year of releasing music and promotion. It will be a great stepping stone for the trainees' career because the public will know about them more.

The rating record of "Produce 101" season two is really high even though the show received some criticism. Showing the fierce battle of K-Pop idol competition, Mnet is criticized, but also at the same time, many people watch the show because it is interesting. The next episode will show the ability of each trainee to blend in a new concept. No one can really predict of the next ranking because it has been up and down for some trainees and also many unexpected things happen already.
