Katie Holmes Splashes In NYC Fountain On "Mania Days" Set With Luke Kirby, Asked Out "Constantly" Filming New Flick

Katie Holmes splashed in fountains in New York City on Tuesday. Holmes frolicked in a Manhattan fountain on set of her new film, "Mania Days", with costar Luke Kirby. Holmes has been hit on and asked out on dates constantly on set - and the wet t-shirt contest didn't help!

The 83-degree-weather in Manhattan had much of the city schlepping and sweaty-but Holmes frolicked in the fountain in Washington Square Park, a busy intersection. Katie and Luke were filming a scene for the film and passers by gawked at Holmes looking incredible in the fountain. Holmes' scoop-neck tee got wet, exposing her lacy bra.

Reportedly, the crew is gaga over Holmes - she's been asked out seven times already.

"They were crew members and extras just chancing it. It really got on the nerves of director Paul Dalio. Needless to say, she said no to everyone," a source says.

Kirby and Holmes, both 34, certainly looked very friendly together...maybe there's a budding romance there? She certainly didn't look like she missed Tom Cruise as she splashed in the fountain with Luke Kirby.

The "Dawson's Creek" star and the Canadian are filming "Mania Days", which is about 'a manic depressive rapper who gets involved with a manic depressive poet in a passionate affair that results in a pregnancy.' Much of the film takes place in a psychiatric hospital. It'll be a sizzling drama from director Paul Dalio - his first!

Dalio is repeatedly annoyed at the fact that Holmes has been asked out seven times in just a few weeks. Christine Lahti and Griffin Dunne, two more costars, might be a bit jealous - or they might be asking her out. Mum's the word on who the culprit, or the series of culprits, are, so far!

A casting director working on an unnamed different project says that she's seen starts like Holmes get hit on before, and that it's "so annoying".

"It's a really big distraction to everyone else on set - sometimes nobody can get their work done," the anonymous casting director said.

In Washington Square Park's fountain, though, Katie Holmes just looked sweet and happy, even spinning around an eight-year-old girl in the fountain. Holmes, who plays Carla, the poet, skipped around and splashed with Luke Kirby, who plays Marco, the rapper.
