Hyorin Was The Cause of SISTAR's Disbandment, According to Starship Entertainment

Many of SISTAR's fans are still wondering why the girl group decided to disband. Now, a rep from their agency has revealed the reason why - and it's Hyorin.

As initially reported by various sites, SISTAR's disbandment was because of the members' individual plans. For short, it was a mutual decision between the girls.

However, the biggest factor with SISTAR's disbandment was because of Hyorin's desire to follow a solo career. This was according to a representative of the group's agency, Starship Entertainment, as reported by Koreaboo.

According to the agency rep, Hyorin expressed her strong desires to promote as a solo artist. This came after her South America concert tours that proved to be a success for her.

The rep also revealed that SISTAR members Soyou, Bora, and Dasom even tried to convince her to stay. To Hyorin however, her decision was final.

The agency rep also added how Hyorin tried to explain that the pain of SISTAR's disbandment will all be the same. Whether it would be now, in the near, or far future.

This was the ultimate reason why SISTAR decided to disband. Rather than fight for the group's survival, the members decided what's best for each of them.

"Honestly, there were no conflicts within our agency, nor were there any troubles among the members," further added the agency rep. "[SISTAR] happily promoted for 7 years without any problems, so we decided to support their individual futures."

The agency rep also added that both Bora and Dasom are planning on balancing singing and acting at the same time. As previously reported by KpopStarz, Hyorin and Dasom will continue their careers solely as solo singers.

SISTAR released their final track titled "Lonely" on Wednesday, May 31. The members flew recently to Macau where they shot the music video.
