After celebrating their 10 year anniversary with the release of their latest album 'Holiday Night' and two promotional tracks, Girls' Generation are discussing the possibility of renewing their contracts with SM Entertainment.
On August 16th, all 8 members of Girls' Generation met with SM Entertainment and other agency members about renegotiating their exclusive contracts since they came to an end this month.
SM Entertainment left a statement for the public saying, "It's true we're currently renewing our contracts with the Girls' Generation members. Most of the members have already renewed their contracts, and we're in talks with the remaining members."
Other outlets went on to report that, "Though we're still not sure if there will be any change, it seems as if they'll stay together as they've been doing well as a group for the past 10 years." Fans, however, seem unphased and felt the groups current dynamics and chemistry are alive more than ever!
What do you think of the announcement? Hopefully, the girls will renew their contracts and continue on as Girls' Generation! Stay tuned for more updates.
