Fans of Girls' Generation were recently taken aback to hear that member Tiffany has decided to leave Korea - but what is her reason for doing so and where will she be going?
According to reports, the main vocalist of Girls' Generation has decided to return back to the states after a successful 10 years in Korea promoting alongside her members in the most popular K-Pop girl group. The girls recently celebrated their 10-year anniversary with their 'Holiday Night' comeback and reporters announced that Tiffany will be heading back to the U.S. once promotions are complete in order to study acting.
An insider revealed, "Recently, Tiffany decided to study abroad in the U.S.A and told her friends so. She wanted to study acting, and her friends also supported her decision." While fans are quick to support her decision, fans were immediately worried and wondered if this was a sign that she is not going to renew her contract with SM Entertainment.
The girl group recently made headlines for their meeting with SM Entertainment to discuss their individual contract renegotiations after they ended earlier in August. The company has yet to confirm if all 8 members have renewed their contract. SM Entertainment hasn't come forward with any statements about Tiffany's departure either.
