What Happened To My Gmail? Everything You Need To Know About Google's New Hangout Feature For iPhone, Android, iPad

The 500 million plus Gmail and Google+ users out there may have noticed a new feature alert by their Google Chat column, signaling Google's latest mission to merge and enhance the Hangout and chat experience.

According to a press release, the latest upgrade enables users to Hangout instantaneously, similar to the chat service already implemented.

"When someone from an enabled circle send you a message or invites you to a video call, you'll be able to Hangout right away without having to accept a Hangout request first."

This enhances Google users' connectivity with free video calls with up to ten friends, and the ability to send photos and emojis.

The new Hangout is set to replace the earlier Gtalk and Google chat systems as Google rolls out the feature worldwide, and it even has Google Voice capabilities.

According to Lifehacker.com, you can now answer a Google Voice call right away if you are using Hangout. And although outbound calls are a feature yet, chances of Google's implementing the service is high.

For Skype, Facetime, and ooVoo users, Google Hangout is looking more and more enticing as it streamlines text, voice, and video communication all in one feature.

The makeover comes on the heels of the new Hangout (formerly Google Talk) app for Android users, reports Androidguys.com.

So, whether you are an Android, iPhone, iPad, or general Google user, the new feature should make its way across the board, with more upgrades most likely to come.

Enjoy!
