Dispatch Uncover A New Side To JYJ Yoochun's Sexual Assault Story

Back in December of 2016, JYJ's Yoochun was accused of rape and sexual assault by a woman by the name of Ms. Song. With the first rape accuser sentenced to two years in jail and another sentenced to penal servitude by courts, a new side of the story has recently surfaced from Yoochun's side.

In early July, Ms. Song was deemed innocent of defamation of character and false accusations against the Yoochun because of a lack of evidence. Yoochun's side continued onward by filing an appeal a week after the ruling.

On September 5th the first trial against Ms. Song was held in court. Yoochun's side stated, "The jury for the initial trial unanimously voted 'not guilty,' but it's not possible for rape to occur in a small bathroom. What really occurred is that Yoochun did not give Ms. Song his number or money after consensual sex, so she falsely accused him of rape."

It was then reported that Ms. Song began to cry in the court and responded to the accusations saying, "Prosecutor, why are you trying to kill me? You haven't even seen the location yourself, yet you're claiming I'm making false accusations and putting a knife in my chest."

Ms. Song's lawyer, public defender Lee Eun Ui, also interjected and stated, "In the first trial, there was a thorough examination of the evidence amidst media coverage, multiple witnesses, and Yoochun's personal testimony. Despite the fact that the jury came to a unanimous decision, the prosecution is still trying to claim the defendant is guilty. Please consider the defendant's life."

The next trial will be held on September 22nd and more official statements regarding Yoochun's appeal and Ms. Song's defense will be revealed later on. Stay tuned for more official updates.
