J.J. Abrams: Deleted 'Star Trek: Into The Darkness' Benedict Cumberbatch Showering Scene & 'Believe' Pilot Promo [Video & Gifs]

J.J. Abrams has two different reveals today: a deleted Star Trek: Into The Darkness scene showing a showering Benedict Cumberbatch and his new Believe pilot promo for NBC.

Abrams was on Conan O'Brien last night. He discussed the controversy surrounding Star Trek star, Alice Eve, and her underwear scene.

Director, Damon Lindelof had written a note to MTV and gone on Twitter to defend the blatantly "misogynistic" scene, even while admitting it was gratuitous.

Next, J.J. revealed a Benedict Cumberbatch showering scene left on the cutting room floor for Star Trek: Into The Darkness.

The brief clip on Conan shows a topless (and presumably nude) Benedict Cumberbatch, under a nozzle of water as the camera pans upwards.

For fans of Star Trek perturbed by the Alice Eve underwear shot, they'll be relieved to know that J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof also shot Cumberbatch in his birthday suit.

But Abrams' impromptu premiere of the deleted Star Trek scene wasn't the only video that fans have rushed to view.

JJ's new pilot for NBC, Believe, had it's promo for NBC uploaded to YouTube.

Believe is currently in the lineup as one of NBC's new fall shows.

Alfonso Cuarón, of Gravity, wrote and directed the pilot, and Abrams is serving as the shows executive producer.

The show stars a newcomer, Johnny Sequoyah as Bo, a girl with psychic abilities (of course!) who is pursued by a shadowy and perhaps not-so-benevolent organization who wish to user her powers for evil.

Jake McLaughlin plays an escaped convict tasked with finding and protecting the super hero girl.

So fanboys, Trekkers, Trekies, Lost fans and everyone else, certainly got their fill of J.J. Abrams this week.
