Prince Charles Emergency Landing: The Prince of Wales and Duchess Camilla Just Experienced A Mid-Air Scare

Prince Charles' emergency landing while on the way to the festival is not what everybody expected, but it had to, as the helicopter was having some problem.

The royal couple, Duchess Camilla and Prince Charles, was forced to have emergency landing while on their way to the Hay Literary Festival on Thursday, May 23. Based from the reports of Press Association, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla were already 15 minutes into their scheduled flight from London going to Powys where the festival is held but a 'technical fault' onboard the chopper. Because of this, the pilot was forced to divert the flight to Denham Aerodome in Buckinghamshire. As the pilot specifically reported, it is a "mid-air" emergency landing due to "technical fault."

Regarding Prince Charles' emergency landing, a spokesperson for the royal stated, "The pilot carried out a controlled emergency landing after diverting to the airport."There is already an investigation going on to see what caused the mid-air scare of the helicopter while on board, in which five persons are boarded, plus the royal couple.

But soon after the helicopter has safely landed, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall gracefully get into their cars to go to the Festival. Even though they arrived to Hay-On-Why three hours late, the royal couple was still welcomed and greeted by several hundred attendees as if nothing happened. The festival they attended is somehow a meeting place for creative minds and the crowd involves authors, celebrities and politicians.

A festival attendee even said that the two were still very composed and unflappable during the event in spite of what they experienced mid-air. "If anyone else had gone through what they did they would have canceled their day," the attendee said to the Press Association.
