The Danica Double: Will Danica Patrick Race In The Indianapolis 500 And Coca-Cola 600 On Sunday? [Video & Gif]

The Indianapolis 500 is in the background for Nascar driver, Danica Patrick. Despite finishing third in the popular Indy 500 race in 2009, she's focusing more on her Nascar career, and may not run in the future.

But she might pull a "Danica Double" on Sunday and race in the Formula 1, Indy 500, plus Nascar's Coca-Cola 600.

Danica spoke with Fox News about the Indy 500:

"I have really fond memories," Patrick said. "I, of course, would have loved to have won the race. I feel very fortunate as a driver to have been in a position to win a few times. Definitely two times having a really, really good chance. I feel good about that.

"It's just one race. It is the Indy 500, but I feel like I also did good things. While Indy can kind of make a driver, I feel like it is part of what made me who I am today. So it did those things for me. I didn't win, but it did make me who I am today."

There were some discussions about getting Danica in a car for this Sunday's Indy 500, but she's since decided to focus on Nascar full-time.

As a member of Stewart-Haas Racing she started the season roaring with a nice showing at the Daytona 500.

Since that strong start though, Racing's sexist star has not driven well, so she wants to focus all her efforts on Nascar even if it means missing the race that made her a househould name.

Said Danica:

"I would say I think about it each year at the end of the year [about] what I want to do," she said. "I really tried hard to do it this year. We all did on my team. Ultimately, it came down to the fact that it wasn't going to help me here, and this is what I've chosen to do now. It's not fair to take away from it.

"I have a long way to go to figure this out. I need to focus here. As the years go by, more and more distance goes between my full-time IndyCar career and now. It gets less and less likely."

The sexy spokesman for Go Daddy and a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, Danica has broken hearts and gear shifts as the first sex symbol in driving history.

But the pin-up is more concerned about winning races, and Indy 500 fans might have to miss her this Memorial Day weekend.

So do you want to see a Danica Double?
