It's that time of year again - KCON has announced the first two artists of its New York City concert lineup: Tomorrow x Together and NU'EST! This year's KCON NY is back and better than ever, being held on July 6th and 7th for the first time at the Javits Center and Madison Square Garden.
Hints were dropped via Twitter this past Wednesday, depicting a yellow neon crown and a pink neon sword. With TXT's debut song titled 'Crown' and NU'EST's upcoming royalty-themed comeback 'Happily Ever After', many fans were right on the ball with their guesses!
NU'EST debuted under Pledis Entertainment in 2012, and they are no stranger to KCON; they performed at last year's Los Angeles as the NU'EST W subunit, with Minhyun attending as a member of WANNA'ONE. Now, they're reunited as five and ready to perform on the KCON NY stage!
Tomorrow X Together, abbreviated as TXT, is BigHit Entertainment's newest boy group. With each of the five members' bright and playful energy, they have already made a huge splash debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Emerging Artists, World Albums, and World Digital Song Sales chart and breaking the record for this year's most viewed K-Pop debut music video within 24 hours for a boy group.
With these two artists (and more to come!) and the expansive venue change, this year's KCON NY is already setting up to be the highlight of Summer '19! Stay tuned with Kpopstarz and @KCONUSA to catch all the hints and announcements to come!
