Korean-American singer Eric Nam dropped a new digital single titled "Runaway." Fresh and breezy, the track is about wanting to escape the realities of the world and longing to always be in the company of the apple of your eyes. The pop tune, which showcases the musical act's handsome vocals, is co-composed by no less than American pop star Lauv.
The US-based singer-songwriter is responsible for the hits "I Like Me Better," "Paris In The Rain," and "I'm So Tired" (which is a hit collaboration with Troye Sivan).
Others who were credited in the track include Jay Kim, Emma Lov Block, Jackson Foote, Michael Pollack, and Flow Blow.
"Runaway" is accompanied by an equally swoon-worthy visuals starring a couple evidently enamored by love. Both the track and the music video's being light-hearted easily makes Eric's newest offering a romantic anthem that gets more addicting and hooking the more you listen to it.
The pop piece comes around seven months after his last release, the heartrending tune called "Miss You."
The 30-year-old K-pop heartthrob has also begun embarking on a fan meeting-slash-concert tour earlier in March. He has captivated fans across Thailand, Japan, and Australia with his studio-like performances and charming personality. Next month, Eric is bound to perform in 11 more cities in Europe.
One of the most accomplished singers of his generation, Eric first gained attention when he was invited to join the MBC talent search, "Star Audition: Birth of a Great Star 2."
Though he only managed to earn a spot in the Top 5, he nonetheless landed a recording deal with B2M Entertainment. His first EP, "Cloud 9" debuted in January 2013.
In December 2015, he became an exclusive talent of CJ E&M.
It was in June of the following year when Eric broke into the American market with the launch of her first US single, "Into You." The piece is a collaborative effort with electronic music outfit KOLAJ.
