SHINee to Celebrate 11th Anniversary with Special Exhibition

May 2019 marks the 11th anniversary of SHINee. And as a way to celebrate the momentous milestone, the K-pop boy band is set to hold an 11-day long special exhibition.

The show -- titled "SHINee Day: You're My Word, My Sentence, All My Languages" will feature 11 unique exhibits celebrating the group's story, career, and music. Among the items to be displayed are concert costumes and a mini music video set.

It will run from May 23 to June 2 and will be held at the SM Entertainment Celebrity Center in Apgu-Jeong dong in Seoul.
Fans or SHINee Worlds who want to attend the free exhibit must first reserve tickets via Yes24. Ticket reservations commenced on May 13.

Originally a five-piece boy band, SHINee first captivated hearts of K-pop fans with their debut EP, "Replay," fronted by its lead single of the same name. On their debut year, they bagged several awards including the "Best New Male Group" tilt during the 10th Mnet Asian Music Awards and the "Best New Artist" trophy during the 5th Asia Song Festival.

Composed of Minho, Onew, Taemin, Key, and the late Jong Hyun, the group's members are acclaimed for their unwavering passion for the music. They are known for the hits "Ring Ding Dong," "Sherlock," and "Lucifer" among many others.

Apart from being one of Korea's most innovative musical force as a group, members of the band also shine on their own as solo acts. They are also beloved reality show personalities, as proven by their hit programs like "SHINee's Hello Baby," "SHINEE's One Fine Day," and "SHINee's Back."

In December 2017, SHINee faced a tragic event as Jong Hyun passed away because of an apparent suicide.

In 2018, the now-quartet act released a three-part Korean album titled "The Story of Light."

The K-pop outfit is currently on hiatus as members Minho, Key, and Onew are currently serving the military.
