WINNER is back with a bang! Kicking off a new chapter in their career on a grand note -- Seungyoon, Seunghoon, Jinwoo, and Mino's new single "Ah Yeah," lifted from their EP "WE," has dominated various charts in Korea and abroad.
"Ah Yeah" secured the No. 1 spots in several real-time charts like Melon, Genie, Mnet, and Naver in only three days after it was released on May 18.
The pop-rock track boldly argues that for the quarter, once a relationship comes to a close, it really is over.
On the same of the day of the song's release, the group also dropped a vibrant music video (with them taking hold of video game controllers) fully encapsulating the track's theme in a rather light way.
WINNER's EP itself has also topped music charts like Melon, Naver, and Soribada among others.
In China, the mini-album has conquered the country's biggest music streaming platform QQ Music, taking the top spot on both its daily and weekly paid digital album sales charts.
Taking its dominance to iTunes, the EP further ranked first on the iTunes charts of 19 countries, including the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, and Costa Rica among others.
It also ranked among the Top 10 in the same charts in countries like Japan, India, Russia, Canada, US, France, and Australia.
Apart from "Ah Yeah," WE" also includes five more tracks which include a remix of their 2018 hit, "Everyday."
In a statement, the four-piece act revealed that their EP's title "puts meaning on the synergy effect that occurs when all of [their] members unite."
"We hope that the listeners would think 'These guys feel similar emotions like we do' and that 'We're alike' rather than recognizing us artists who are distant from them," the group added.
WINNER was first formed in 2014 through the reality survival show, "WIN: Who Is Next." Their latest EP follows the release of their studio album titled "EVERYD4Y," which was released last year.
Besides doing music, they've also appeared in various shows like "Winner Vacation - Hoony Tour" and "W-Log," which aired on YouTube and VLive.
