NCT 127, RED VELVET AND OTHER GROUPS GRACE MANILA FOR KWMF 2019

K-Pop continues to dominate the Philippine Music Industry as the country is becoming a one-stop shop for different fan meets and concerts. And this weekend, SM Entertainment Groups, Red Velvet and NCT 127 will lead The K-Pop World Music Festival 2019.

The concert is scheduled on June 9, 2019, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. This adds up to the handful of K-Pop concert scheduled in the country for this year alone.

NCT 127 and Red Velvet will be joined by the soloist, Kim Dong Han and girl group Elris for the concert.

Ellis member, Sohee, will also have a solo stage at the K-Pop World Music Festival 2019.

Tickets are being sold through SM Tickets, both through its outlets nationwide or online. Ticket prices range from P10, 500 to P3, 150.

Finishing their RED MARE Concert tour in the United States, Red Velvet has recently had a Japanese comeback with "Sappy", their 2nd mini album. This would be the second time the group would visit Manila, the first being in 2015 with the "Best of Best in the Philippines" concert, along with Girls Generation, Super Junior, and BTOB. Red Velvet's most recent Korean promotions were with the RBB album, featuring the title track "Really Bad Boy".

The group debut with 4 members in 2014 with "Happiness". Yeri was added to the group in 2015 with the songs "Ice Cream Cake."

NCT 127, one of SM Entertainments rising boy groups, has recently released their new album, "We are Superhuman", with the title track "Superhuman". The group as also toured in North America with NEO-CITY: The Origin Tour this year. This would also be NCT 127's second visit to the Philippines. The first would be in 2017 with the K-Pop Republic 2 concert.

NCT 127 debuted in July 2016, as the second sub-unit of NCT with the song "Fire Truck". Their name, NCT, stands for "Neo Culture Technology" which is their take for having unlimited members, and 127 is the longitude coordinates of Seoul.

ELRIS is a girl group under Hunus Entertainment, which debuted in 2017 with "We, First". The group consists of five members, Sohee, Yukyung, Bella, Hyeseong, and Karin, who was a former contestant of K-Pop Star 6: The Last Chance.

Meanwhile, ELRIS member Sohee is also a former K-Pop Star 6 contestant. She debuted as a soloist first in May 2017 before joining ELRIS in June of the same year.

Former JBJ member, Kim Dong Han, is set to perform on the Manila stage as a solo artist. He made his debut in 2018 with "Sunset". His newest release, "Focus", marks his second comeback as a soloist in the K-Pop industry.
