Super Junior Confirm Late 2019 Comeback Following Kyuhyun's MIlitary Discharge

It's a good 2019 so far for E.L.Fs all across the globe!

Following the discharge, the group's maknae, Kyuhyun, from the military last May 2019, all members of Super Junior have finished their military service.

And with that, Label SJ, which is under SM Entertainment, has announced that Super Junior will come back with 9 members (Leetuk, Heechul, Shindong, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook, Yesung and Kyuhyun) in the latter part of 2019.

This will be Kyuhyun's first comeback following his discharge from the military.

However, Sungmin and Kangin will once again sit out of this comeback, and will have solo activities instead, Label SJ said.

The said comeback was earlier teased by the group's Leader, Leetuk, at the HallyuPopFest 2019 in Singapore last May.

"As you know, Kyuhyun has recently returned from the army," Leeteuk said. "So you might be seeing all of us together for a comeback this year."

The group is now working on their comeback album.

Super Junior took nine years for all members to complete their military service.

Kangin was the first member to enlist in 2010. He was followed by Heechul in 2011, and Leetuk in 2012. Yesung, Sungmin, Shindong, Donghae, Eunhyuk, and Siwon all enlisted in 2015. While Ryeowook and Kyuhyun enlisted in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

Which is why Kyuhyun's discharge was a milestone celebrated by the group.

Even when the other members were in service, Super Junior continued to promote as a group.

Their most recent comeback, "One More Time", was released in early 2018, following Ryewook's discharge from the army.

They also released "Lo Siento", which was a collaboration with Leslie Grace, in 2018. The members involved in this comeback were Leetuk, Heechul, Siwon, Shindong, Yesung, Donghae, and Eunhyuk.

The same set of members also participated in the song "Black Suit", which was released in late 2017.

Apart from album releases, Super Junior remained active in the concert scene with Super Show.

Their latest concert, Super Show 7s, was a two-day concert in Seoul last March. The next concert date will be on Jakarta, Indonesia on June 15, 2019, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition.

As of now, Super Junior is currently promoting in units, Donghae and Eunhyuk recently came back as their unit, Super Junior D&E, with the song Danger.

Meanwhile, Kyuhyun immediately released a new album, "The Day We Meet Again", following his discharge. The album, with the title track, "Aewol-Ri" was released last May 20.
