Oh My Girl Offers Bright Summer Anthem with ‘BUNGEE (Fall In Love)’

If you’re still looking for that perfect summer anthem, Oh My Girl’s comeback single might just serve you the jam you’ve been wanting to hear!

Last August 5, the seven-piece K-pop ensemble dropped their latest offering “Fall In Love,” fronted by its uber-engaging titular song, “BUNGEE (Fall In Love).”

In the song, the group — composed of Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Jiho, Binnie, and Arin — once again makes use of their vocal prowess, set against a blithely arranged guitar instrumentation and electro pop-infused melody, to deliver a summer bop the listeners would want to play over and over again.

The track is also highlighted by aegyeo ad libs that pop up throughout the song, making the offering more exciting and infectious. Compared with other summer anthems, it also beers away from using the typical tropical tropes, helping it stand out from all the releases this season.

Mimi co-penned the single alongside Seo Ji Eum, while the melody was composed by the Joombas Music Group together with Shin Hyuk. Joombas previously worked with the outfit for their song “Cupid.”

The bright vibe of “BUNGEE” is well emulated in its music video. Fresh and simply charming, the visuals highlight what the Oh My Girl members do best: To give their fans more and more reasons to adore them while enjoying the summer season.

Their comeback comes nearly three months since they dropped their debut Korean studio album, “The Fifth Season,” which spawned the hit “SSFWL.”

Oh My Girl was formed by WM Entertainment and was officially launched in the scene in April 2015 with the release of their self-titled EP. Originally an eight-piece group, former member JinE departed in 2017 due to health reasons.

Earlier this year, they won the “Best Female Idol of the Year” during the Brand of the Year Awards.
