DAY6 had an interview with the press ahead of their comeback this July.
Young K went on and shared about the process of their songwriting. The artist stated that when they work on all songs, they think of all of it as the title track. After they write a song, he said that if it attains over 80 points from their agency's internal monitoring committee, then it is okay to be released. Young K uttered, "Time of Our Life got approved in that process, and that was how we began creating this album." "Time of Our Life" is DAY6's latest track.
DAY6 even mentioned about their last year's world tour in 24 cities, with Wonpil sharing that the fans who were outside the concert venue were singing while they were waiting. The singer commented, "It was an odd feeling because I felt touched even before the concert started. It's also fantastic to see the things that I'd dreamt of before debuting became a reality under my nose."
The South Korean boy band is soon to start their world tour called "Gravity" this year, bringing it to 26 cities around the world. They will be kicking off their tour in Seoul from August 9 to 11, at Jamsil Indoor Stadium.
Sungjin shared his thoughts about this, stating, "Thankfully, we are doing a world tour for the second year consecutively. I feel shocked and at the same time grateful over all the love we receive from abroad as well."
Furthermore, the group also talked about how their fans are a great help in promoting them. Young K said, "Our fans, My Day, have been powerful. When I read their letters, they always say that they brought their family and friends to the concert." The idol added that they would work harder so that their fans would never feel embarrassed.
Meanwhile, DAY6 has just released a new mini-album called "The Book of Us: Gravity" on July 15, comprising of its title track "Time of Our Life" and five more songs.
