The statement reads:
"TWICE is filming a music video on the 9th. It's true they're preparing for a comeback, but the exact timing has not been decided yet. It'll be officially announced once it's been confirmed."
However, it is still uncertain whether Mina will be able to participate in this comeback. The sub-vocalist has not been participating in the group's activities due to health reasons.
On July 11, the fans' curiosity regarding Mina's absence has been addressed after JYPE explained through a lengthy statement why she was not able to join her members in their world tour. Excerpts from the letter said:
"Mina is currently struggling with sudden extreme anxiety and insecurity towards performing on stage. No exact diagnosis has been identified yet, and we are consulting with several medical professionals to verify the cause in detail.
After extensive discussion with Mina and members of TWICE, we have decided that Mina's current condition requires additional treatment, professional measures, and sufficient rest. Along with this decision, Mina will not be attending the following schedule:
- TWICE World Tour 2019 "TWICELIGHTS"
The agency added that their artists' health is their main priority. Thus, they aim to provide sufficient rest and treatment for Mina until she recovers. The agency also thanked the fans - ONCEs - for being understanding about the matter.
On August 1, Mina was spotted together with her mother in Korea, and this was immediately confirmed by JYPE. Unfortunately, her return did not actually mean she would be participating with TWICE's schedules.
"Mina's return [to Korea] is not due to a special reason or scheduled activity. As revealed previously, she is currently resting due to health reasons, and it is difficult for her to participate in scheduled activities including the world tour," JYPE stated.
Nonetheless, the company assures fans they will release updates regarding the idol and also they also hope for her swift recovery.
Meanwhile, TWICE has been announced to collaborate with Kakao Friends, and it is confirmed that the two teams will be releasing the first-ever K-Pop collection called "Kakao Friends TWICE edition."
According to reports, the products will be up for grabs in the Korean and global shops. Also, the collection will have a total of 30 products, wherein 9 of these were drawn and designed by each of the members themselves and is set to unveil today, August 9. The other 20 items, which are under the living, travel, and beauty categories, will be released in October.
A representative of Kakao IX shared, "We hope to create a new and special experience for fans all over the world as Kakao Friends and TWICE, both representatives of Korea, team up for this collaboration."
