Lifestyle Magazine Clarifies Interview with f(x)'s Krystal

Following the uproar, Urbanlike magazine cleared up their interview with f(x)'s Krystal that spurted quite a confusion to MeUs on various social platforms.

However, an excerpt from her interview with the magazine left a lot of fans disconcerted.

Krystal was quoted saying, "I spent a lot of time thinking about what side of myself I should show as a solo entertainer. I like a lot of things so I wasn't sure what I should do. I don't want to sing or dance anymore because I've already shown that while being a part of f(x). As for whether I want to do a solo or not, I want to do it. The first time is important. The first impression is my biggest worry when it comes to a solo debut."

This particular quote prompted fans to question if she is still interested to be part of her current group. Eventually, Urbanlike's editor Lee Bum released an explanation to the matter.

"The section that's become an issue was unintentionally left out during editing, so it seems to have caused a misunderstanding. Krystal didn't say she doesn't want to promote with f(x) anymore, but as a soloist in front of the public eye, she wants to show a new image because she's already done so much dancing and singing during her f(x) days," Lee Bum said.

"I feel really bad this has unintentionally caused contextual misunderstanding," the editor added.

Meanwhile, Krystal is gearing up for a debuting independent film Shouts of the Father, helmed by director Choi Ha Na, as the lead character. This will also mark the idol-actress' first time to star in an indie movie.

The plot narrates the dramatic life of To Il, a pregnant college student who goes in search of her biological father to be able to convince him to attend her wedding. She is a reckless, plucky woman who does whatever that pleases her without letting anyone intimidate her. Given the adversities she faces - marriage and pregnancy - she matures and learns the way of life.

The movie will be ATO's sixth project, wherein the previous ones were Yongsoon, Last Child, The World of Us, among others. Krystal's previous dramas were in The Inheritors, Prison Playbook, Bride of the Water God, and The Player.
