K-pop fans in North America may need to wait longer to see KARD after the co-ed group announced the cancellation of their highly-anticipated "NEW ERA" tour just days before the scheduled start.

The North American leg of the tour was set to begin in Nashville on Feb. 27. However, KARD's agency, DSP Media, announced that they are canceling concerts at North American locations due to unexpected delays in the issuance of their working visas. The agency noted that it worked closely with tour promoter Konnect'd Entertainment and the agency HY Live to obtain the group's visas. The company also stated that they submitted all necessary documents for all four members on schedule but said bureaucratic delays prevented the timely processing of their work visas.

Fans who have already purchased tickets for KARD's North American tour will receive a full refund, which will be issued automaticallyusingo the original payment method.

"We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been eagerly anticipating this tour and are truly sorry for the deep disappointment this has caused. We ask for your understanding and deeply regret not being able to meet your expectations," DSP Media wrote in a statement. "Thank you for your unwavering support."

The cancellation comes as a significant blow to fans known as Hidden Kards, who were eagerly waiting for the group's return to North American stages. The group consists of four members: J. Seph, BM, Somin, and Jiwoo. They gained international acclaim for blending K-pop, hip-hop, EDM, and tropical house elements in their songs.

The group initially released the tracks "Oh NaNa" and "Don't Recall" in 2016. However, they only officially debuted as a group in June 2017 with their first EP, Hola Hola. The EP was well-received globally and entered on several Billboard charts. Their early success was also coupled with performances at major festivals such as the 2017 Summer Sonic Festival in Japan and KCON in Los Angeles.

KARD's latest EP is titled Where to Now? (Part 1: Yellow Light). The album, which was released in August 2021, features diverse musical styles and a blend of genres.
