During a recent MTV appearance at Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores, Alabama, Katherine Webb was spotted wearing a very large ring on her left ring finger, Fox Sports reports. Is she engaged?

The ring appeared huge in comparison to the one that Chrissy Teigen, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model who also made an appearance, was wearing - Teigen is engaged to R&B star John Legend.

As suggested by Busted Coverage, Katherine Webb's ring could just be a purity ring. Regardless, it leaves fans with something to talk about concerning the young couple.

This comes just months after it was confirmed Katherine Webb was not engaged to her University of Alabama quarterback boyfriend, AJ McCarron, despite rumors that circulated around the web in February.

Martha Stewart started the gossip when she tweeted: "Oh my. Tout le monde est ici! AJ McCarron and fiance Katherine Webb posed for a photo," along with a picture of the couple having dinner in New Orleans at the fancy restaurant, Emeril's. Fans picked up on the word "fiancé" and it traveled around the Internet as a confirmed engagement.

However, a rep for Miss Alabama told E! News that Martha Stewart's tweet was just a mishap.

Though it seemed the aisle was a long way away for Katherine Webb, who had been dating McCarron for just a few months, she told Ryan Seacrest recently that "When you find yourself with someone that you really can see yourself with, like, you know it."

"I knew in the first two weeks that we were going to be together for a long time," Katherine continued. "Love kind of takes over and you start talking about the future...so yeah."

Webb, 23, recently signed on to ABC's new diving competition series Splash and is serving as a Super Bowl correspondent for Inside Edition.
