Previously, Ravi revealed the title of his upcoming mixtape, Nirvana II, and that he will pre-release a single on August 22 as an appetizer for his fans. He also hinted that he will be featuring another singer in the aforementioned single, which only augmented his fans' curiosity.
Finally, he unveiled on Tuesday, August 20, who that artist would be. Through a post on his official social media page, he disclosed that he will pair up with the fierce and fabulous songstress and member of the all-vocally talented girl group.
Fans are currently anticipating the yet-to-be-released track and its style. The full mixtape will come out on August 29.
Not only that Ravi made the announcement on his SNS, he also shared a series of photos with the female idol. The two hilariously reenacted an amusing snap of them both that was taken three years ago. More than 100,000 Instagram users already poured their "hearts" out for the set of pictures, while a throng of others left favorable reactions in the comments field.
Earlier, Solar collaborated with other male artists, such as Kim Min Jae, Hwang Chi Yeol, and Kiegen. Ravi, on the other hand, had previously teamed up with female singers like Eun Ha of GFriend and the Snapping singer Chung Ha.
The VIXX member recently left his former company, Jellyfish Entertainment, to launch his own label named GROOVL1N, which will reportedly focus on the hip-hop side. It currently holds the artists Xydo and Cold Bay, both of who he has worked with in the past.
Excerpts from Jellyfish Entertainment upon his decision to depart read:
"Jellyfish will continue to take care of not only Leo, Ken, Hongbin, and Hyuk; but also Ravi, who will be participating in VIXX's group activities; in addition to maintaining VIXX's identity as a group in the future. We plan to schedule opportunities for VIXX to meet their fans, both within Korea and abroad, within this year.
We will also broaden the fields of Leo, Ken, Hongbin, and Hyuk's promotions, and we will be unsparing in our investment and support for not only VIXX's group activities but also the individual members, using a more organized system and working more closely [with the members] to [highlight] their musical abilities and strengths. We will do everything in our power to support them so that they can grow even more as global stars."
Thus, in spite of leaving his former agency, Ravi remains a devoted member of his group. He will, in fact, partake in VIXX's two-day show, VIXX LIVE FANTASIA [PARALLEL], this coming September in Seoul.
