An avid fan of boy band TXT? Good news -- the group has officially announced the new name of their fan club!
On August 22, the Big Hit Entertainment act revealed that their fandom will be collectively called "MOA," which stands for "Moments of Alwaysness." The announcement came in the form of a. GIF-format social media post.
Back in April, the rookie K-pop troupe revealed their fandom name as "Young One." This is a play on the Korean word for zero (pronounced as "young").
This moniker, meant to convey that from nothing they were united and formed as one, however, sounded similar to another fan club. Hence, the decision to make the necessary change.
In a statement relayed to the fans, supporters who sent in suggestions for the new fan club name earned gratitude; with those who've submitted MOA earning a special gift.
"We carefully read through your ideas and suggestions with the members of TOMORROW X TOGETHER. After a long discussion and thorough deliberation, we've selected our official fan club name," the statement read.
According to it, it was the unanimous choice for TXT members Soobin, Huening Kai, Beomgyu, Yeonjun, and Taehyun.
MOA, in Korean, means to gather and to collect. And as a fandom name, this means that TXT members and the fans "gather together each fragment of [their] dreams to complete [their] own, one dream."
In related news about the group, Big Hit has announced that their supposed comeback for this month has been rescheduled to October due to health reasons.
This has been previously moved to September for the same reason; back then, it was Soobin who had conjunctivitis but now, the same disease was contracted by Taehyun and Huening Kai.
The agency was quick to note that their previous commitment to attending the 2019 Soribada Best K-Music Awards and the Kansai Collection 2019 Autumn and Winter will push through. However, the group will not be able to perform.
TXT debuted in March this year with their EP, "The Dream Chapter: Star." The K-pop quintet has since steadily gained attention from K-pop fans not only in South Korea but from other parts of the globe as well.
TXT was hailed as the Male Rookie Idol of the Year at the 2019 Brand of the Year Awards, and the Best New Male Artist at the 2019 Genie Music Awards.
