BLACKPINK's Rosé Confirms her Solo is in the Works; Release Date Uncertain

Earlier, Rosé made headlines, and even trended for a long while on the web, after she liked cryptic messages on Instagram that presumably alluded to the alleged mistreatment she receives from her agency - specifically not giving her well-deserved solo. This prompted the female idol to do a Livestream on the photo-sharing app to finally give an answer to the fans' curiosity.

"And I know that a lot of you guys are very, very curious about how much I have prepared with my solo...and I'm so happy that you guys are like that. I'm working on it all the time," Rosé said.

The singer, however, revealed that the release date of her solo is uncertain for now. She then reasoned out that she's polishing it to be perfect.

"The question about when it is, I cannot say yet I think. I don't know if you guys know me very well but...I want it to be perfect and I want it to be a certain way. I'm very strict about that stuff because it means a lot to me and I know you guys respect that about my personality. I know that it's taking a long time but please trust me on that," she disclosed.

"'Perfect' doesn't mean just the song itself, it also means timing. There is a right time for everything," she added.

The quartet's main vocalist went on to tell Blinks about the times that she's off from social media, and that there could be a significant reason behind that.

"And know that when I become silent or when you guys can't see me, you also know that those are like some times that I'm actually working on things for you guys. I know that it's really frustrating when I don't update you about my life," Rosé said.

Apart from the overjoyed reactions of a plethora of Blinks, there were also those who are cynical about this news, not to the artists but to the company itself. According to them, YG Entertainment has the reputation of not being the best in terms of releasing music on time.

Meanwhile, various social media platforms have been bombarded with Blinks' jubilation for they have been waiting for Rosé's solo for eternity.

A fan on Twitter was quoted saying, "Rosé confirmed she is working on her solo every day, that she is really excited about it and most importantly, that she has full control of it. I'm gonna cry."

Another one wrote, "Call me a clown but I trust Rosé on this one. I see some of y'all saying that she was forced to say all this just so we could stop but I believe her. Time is everything. Didn't Jennie say that she was working for about a year on solo? You could even see her excitement, it's coming."
