Netizens praised AOA's Seolhyun after giving support on Instagram.
The post read, "Because you're a woman, you're sentenced to prison. Because you're a man, you get probation."
Netizens assume that the post is referring to a woman named Go Yujung. She is considered as a suspect in the murder of her ex-husband but was known not to be violent as per her friends. They compared her to a man, who is only known for the nickname "Kim-ssi," who is a suspect in another murder case and is believed to use a meat grinder to kill the victim.
Regarding this, many are enraged that the woman's whole personal identity, specifically her face, was revealed to the public, but the man's face and full name were kept hidden to the people.
Some fans shared their thoughts on Seolhyun liking the post, commenting, "I don't think what Seolhyun did was wrong," "I like her even more after seeing this," "Seolhyun has a bunch of male fans, and this is not something easy to do as a celebrity. I support her even more now," "To be honest; she's cool! Everyone can see her SNS; this is amazing of her."
Even before this incident, Seolhyun already has fans falling in love with her since she debuted as an AOA member on July 30, 2012. Fans, especially the males, go crazy over her body curves. Seolhyun fascinates the audience on stage by her sexy dance moves. Because of her perfect figure, she often models jean brands.
Also, many admire her innocent and natural look among the artificial beauties. And although she appears in public without makeup, people are still amazed at her amazing visual. Not to mention, she is the center and face of the group.
Apart from group activities, the artist also has her solo projects. She appeared on a variety show, and starred in several films and dramas such as "Orange Marmalade," "Gangnam Blues," "The Great Battle" and "Memoir of a Murderer." And recently, she was cast as the female lead in JTBC's "My Country."
Meanwhile, AOA has not yet returned with a new song this year. Their latest mini-album is "Bingle Bangle," which was released on May 28, 2018. The girl group, however, is one of the six participants in Mnet's "Queendom" that airs every Thursday at 9:20 p.m. KST.
