Following the departure of Amber Liu from SM Entertainment, it is simply normal for the fans to feel unhappy about it, especially towards the future of f(x). On top of it all, the group will be celebrating their anniversary on September 5th.
But a bare minimum gesture from Amber and Krystal recently brought delight to MeUs. On September 3, the two met up and shared their moments together on social media, bringing their fans into pleasure and glee. Truly, their friendship remains intact as ever.
Krystal shared a couple of clips on her Instagram stories, depicting her bonding moment with Amber. In one video, the former can be heard squealing in excitement while documenting Amber on her camera. Amber was captured giggling at her band member and even called her weird. Then, Krystal responded to her in Korean, "Where are you? Come here."
In another clip, the idol-actress continues to record Amber. The two then exchanged a warm embrace. In a snippet that Amber posted on the photo-sharing app, Amber wrote in her caption, "Still teaching me Korean 11 years later. Love you loser. You're still super weird." She also reciprocated Krystal's gesture by posting the thing she received from the idol-actress. She shared a picture of a drink and accompanied it with a text, "Princess's parting gift."
On Sunday, September, Amber announced that she was leaving the entertainment agency giant through a self-penned letter to fans, both in English and Korean. She wrote:
"Hey everyone, I would like to announce my contract with SM Entertainment has ended today, and I have decided to part ways with the company. From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank everyone who believed in me and have been patient with me all these years. I can't wait to show you what's in store in this next chapter of my career. Again and always, thank you!! Love, peace, and Boba -Llama."
Meanwhile, fans remain hopeful for f(x)'s new comeback. Others, however, lament on the possibility that she might leave the group completely to pursue her solo endeavors, considering that her former label mate Tiffany Young departed from Girls' Generation.
